A magic box

These images was made as handouts for a recent adventure we played. They might be useful as inspiration .

The players finds a magic box which cannot be opened without the key.

On a nice autumn afternoon the party is travelling on a riverboat. Sudenly the lookout reports the river is obstructed by a falling tree. At first here is nothing unusual by this at this time of year - but an observant player would notice that there is no other trees around for miles?

Has the stream brought the tree down from a distant forrest or is this an ambush?
